Love this place. Second time we've been now. Really nice clean well kept lodges. Lovely owners and grounds with animals and fishing lakes. Can't really fault it for a good outdoors weekend away.
We booked for over Christmas at lake farm, we were staying in kingfisher lodge. The owners were very accommodating regarding my disabled mother who was coming for Christmas Day. We had spoken to the owners before to make sure there was access to the lodge and they assured us there would be a ramp which there was. The lodge is very nice with its back to one of the smaller lakes, it had three bedrooms, a double bedroom, a twin and a triple. A shower room and open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The lodge is heated by electric central heating and there is a electrical meter that takes 1 coins so make sure you stock up before visiting. You have a electric oven and gas hob.The owners were very pleasant and helpful and as there are only a few lodges it is like a little community.Access to to the lakes is by an electric gate then down a short track to the lodges.
This is such a beautiful place. Great fishing lovely clean cosy cabins and the peace and wildlife is beyond expectations. Julie and Alfie the owners are most accommodating and help full.
Great base for visiting all the surrounding attractions. Lovely parkland and good fishing loads of catches for all kinds of fishing carp trench plus more. Good all rounder for families couples or guys just wanting to fish.
Had the most amazing week at Lake Farm. It was peaceful and surrounded by some stunning countryside. Julie, the owner was extremely helpful and very friendly and approachable. If you want some cracking fishing, this is the place to go, had over 100 carp on that week, biggest being 8 1/2, would like to have caught something bigger but not going to complain. Was kept entertained by the pair of Kingfishers, totally stunning. To keep it objective, there was no freezer compartment in the fridge and there is an electric meter you need to feed with 1 coins, bit antiquated, put in 10. However, this did not detract from a brilliant week away. Would definitely return
