I had a set of 4 wheels refurbished by Wheelworx, I took the wheels to them 2 at a time.The first pair I received back from them were to a good standard. However, the second pair of wheels were pretty poor on the rear side. There was damage to the finish which exposed bare aluminium, probably caused by carelessness when clamping the wheel on a tyre machine. So, therefore corrosion will start again once water and road salt get on the wheels. The damaged areas will need to be touched in to prevent corrosion from starting.When I collected the wheels and pointed this out, there was no offer to rectify the issue. Also, I took 4 brand new TPMS tyre valves to be fitted to the wheels. When I got home I noticed that my tatty old valve caps, from the old valves, were screwed on the new valves. So, what happened to the new dust caps is anybody's guess. Finally, a wheel weight had been stuck in the centre of the wheel to hide an area of poor paint finish. I have been a mechanic for over 20 years, and any balance issues with a cast alloy wheel are rectified by adding weight to the inner and/or outer edges of the wheel rim, not the centre. So, it was obvious that it hadn't been attached there for balancing purposes. I will be checking that the wheels have been correctly balanced before re-fitting them. This is the standard of service I would expect from Kwik fit or similar cowboy tyre fitters.Wheelworx are competitive on their pricing, but you get what you pay for. I certainly did!

Cheap yet the quality of the work is extremely high. Wheels were in very good condition before their colour change. Afterwards they were simply stunning!!
